Caulking & Re-Caulking

Fresh Caulking That Seals Out Moisture and Looks Sharp

Cracked, stained, or peeling caulk lets water reach places it should never go, and it makes an otherwise clean bathroom look neglected. Solari Services re-caulks tubs, showers, sinks, and countertops throughout Port St. Lucie, removing the old material completely before laying a clean new bead.

Complete Removal: Old caulk is stripped out entirely rather than covered over, which is the only way a new seal will bond and hold.

Proper Materials: Sealants are selected to suit each surface and moisture level, from kitchen counters to constantly wet shower pans.

Crisp Finish: Beads are tooled smooth and even, producing a clean line that looks professionally done rather than patched.

What to Expect

Stop Water Before It Gets Behind Your Tile

Failed caulk is a small problem that turns into an expensive one. Water working its way behind a tub surround or beneath a countertop can reach subflooring and framing long before anything visible shows on the surface. Re-caulking on a sensible schedule is among the cheapest protection a home has.

Mildew and Staining Handled Properly

Blackened caulk usually means mildew has grown into the sealant itself, at which point cleaning it is no longer a realistic option. We remove the affected material, treat the substrate underneath, and apply mildew-resistant sealant so the fresh line stays white considerably longer.

The Solari Difference

Old Material Stripped

Every trace of previous sealant is cut out and the surface dried, giving fresh caulk a substrate it can genuinely bond to.

Sealant Chosen to Suit

Silicone, siliconized acrylic, and mildew-resistant products are selected according to the specific surface and how consistently wet it becomes.

Tooled to a Clean Line

Each bead is finished to a uniform width and profile, giving sharp edges that read as careful workmanship rather than repair.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked
Questions

We've provided answers to many of our most frequently asked questions. Have a different question for our team? We're happy to help! Just send us an email at info@solariservices.co

How long before I can use the shower again?

Most sealants need a full 24 hours to cure before water exposure, and some need longer in humid conditions. We'll tell you the specific product's timing. Using the shower too soon is the quickest way to ruin an otherwise sound job.

Can you just caulk over the old caulk?

It's possible but a poor idea, and it's the main reason re-caulking fails early. Fresh sealant won't bond reliably to old material, and any mildew underneath simply keeps growing. Removing the existing caulk completely is most of the work.

How often should bathroom caulk be replaced?

Typically every three to five years, sooner in a heavily used shower or a bathroom with limited ventilation. Florida humidity shortens that interval. Cracking, shrinkage, discoloration, or lifting at the edge means it's due regardless of age.
